This May was a month full of progress and growth for Abakada teams and it all was brought together in a fun-filled, summer-playground-themed town hall entitled, “Abarkada Time!”. Town hall brought the team on an adventure to distant (virtual) lands, switching between the beach, the playground, and the stage for some party and fun! 

Prepared and presented by the Human Resources and Marketing teams, the fifth town hall had a line-up packed with fun for the abarkadas. 

Designing the Virtual Adventure

The Marketing team prepared a digital world where creativity, fun, and adventure await. Physical distance doesn’t matter in the virtual world of the abarkadas. The beach, the playground, and the stage- it’s all one click away! 

Abakada employees dressed up to take on the heat in a summer-themed costume contest. From summer dresses, to beach shorts, to a full scuba diving fit, there was no shortage of creativity among the abarkadas. 

Scavenger Hunt

The adventure didn’t stop there though- classic party games always bring the fun to another level and with a little bit of imagination and creativity, you can bring it to your online huddles! A Shopee Scavenger Hunt had the abarkadas deep diving into the waters of the e-commerce app to find summer and playground items for a pretty sweet prize! You can keep with your theme and customize the items they have to hunt for based on your preference!

Gamify your team huddles

Two years into a nationwide quarantine of varying and ever-changing alert levels, companies big and small have had to adjust and adapt to the infamous remote or work-from-home set up. Staying true to its company tagline, “Solving Problems. Creatively.”, the current online set-up never stopped Abakada from staying connected with each other and growing as a company. Abakada Studios’ monthly town hall is the prime example of how the company continues to keep in sync with one another despite its employees being based all over the country.
