Don’t Miss Out on 2022 CEAP NatCon, October 25-28 2022

Welcoming our distinguished presiders of the Eucharistic Celebrations for the 2022 National Convention!

As you know, CEAP’s mission is to provide Catholic Identity Mission, Learner Development, and Operational Vitality to the Church. We have some of the most distinguished leaders in these fields as well as a host of other speakers who will be sharing their expertise with us at this conference.

This year’s theme is “Pilgrims of Hope Moving Forward in Synodality.”  What does that mean? It focuses on how we may be able to move forward in synodality. In other words, we are looking at how we might be faithful to our traditions and ways of doing things while also being open to change. Whatever it is, we hope you are growing as you are moving toward a more meaningful and brighter future through the challenges you have faced along the way.

The first part of this year’s theme is taken from the motto of Jubilee 2025 which is said to  highlight the key themes of Pope Francis’ pontificate-pilgrims and hope. In addition, it also situates the Convention within the post-pandemic context when schools are slowly recovering from the devastating effects brought about by COVID-19.

The second part of the theme is in line with the Synod on Synodality (2021-2023) which calls on us to look into how we are journeying together as a Church. In his message during the launching of the Global Compact on Education in October 2020, Pope Francis reminded us that “to educate is always an act of hope, one that calls for cooperation in turning a barren and paralyzing indifference into another way of  thinking that recognizes our interdependence”. Hence, we want to underscore during this Convention how we in CEAP – as a network of Catholic schools, are journeying together in communio as pilgrims of hope who are participating in the evangelizing mission of the church.

Over 20 speakers will present on a variety of topics including:

SERVICE-LEARNING SPEAKERS: The first session of CEAP NatCon 2022  second concurrent captures the innovative approaches to advance the culture of care, dialogue, and encounter for Catholic Higher Educational Institutions!

The  CEAP NatCon 2022  second concurrent sessions will feature discussions on countering populism, polarization, and post-truth under the community engagement domain, and the second one will be leadership and governance that will help our school administrators forge partnerships and linkages with like-minded associations, NGOs, or even the local government units in their respective areas in the spirit of synodality!

Catholic Educational Association of the Philippines (CEAP)

The Catholic Educational Association of the Philippines (CEAP) is the national association of Catholic educational institutions in the Philippines. Founded in 1941, it now has 1,500 members, which include universities and colleges offering academic and continuing education programs that are at par with many leading international schools in the world. A majority of its members, however, numbering around 900, are mission schools offering basic education to the country’s poor and marginalized.

The CEAP’s goal is to help Filipinos attend college, which is difficult for most of them because of their limited resources as well as their lack of access to quality education. This can be done through scholarships, financial assistance, and other forms of aid provided by the organization.

The CEAP also offers programs for teachers, who are encouraged to get certified through CEAP’s training program or simply attend seminars held on a regular basis throughout the year.

In the year 2018, the Private Education Assistance Committee (PEAC) and the Catholic Educational Association of the Philippines (CEAP) implemented the Revitalizing Teaching and Learning for Highly Effective K to 6 Classrooms (ReTEACH) program. The training aims to enhance the essential skills of K to 6 teachers in practicing systematic approaches to curriculum mapping and designing effective learner-centered units.

This program was implemented by PEAC and CEAP, who are committed to improving quality education in public schools and private schools nationwide. The training is conducted through a series of workshops that focus on enhancing the essential skills of K to 6 teachers in practicing systematic approaches to curriculum mapping and designing effective learner-centered units.

Abakada Studios are proud to be part of this initiative that aims at improving quality education by providing our teachers with high-quality learning tools, materials, resources and tools that will help them in their teaching practice.

Attend the discussions, activities and have a meaningful conversation with someone who brings knowledge and experiences different from yours. Attendees can network and make those important connections they need in order to take their businesses to the next level. You can also meet and engage in meaningful conversations with like-minded professionals as you discover new opportunities. SAVE THE DATE! The 2022 CEAP National Convention will be held on October 25-28, 2022 at the SMX Convention Center.
